Wow i am really rubbish !!

Well to say a lot has changed would be an understatement! I don’t think I have posted anything about little juicey’s competing. She is an absolute star and I love working her. She has been soooo easy to train it’s unreal! I could ask more from her she has taken me to grade 7 in one season and unfortunately there were no champs left so I cannot wait to do my first champ with her. Chox… well my little brown chocolate dog that was never going to get out of grade 3 has gone grade 7 he had 3 wins last year very close together, my aim for this year was to get the last one and the little super star did it at our first show of the season at mid downs. So now both dogs have their first champs on the same day, hmm I am very excited. I have given myself lots of home work to do, with both dogs, as I went a bit stale towards the end of the season last year and was not enjoying it as much , I think it might have something with the pressure I was putting on myself. I am really looking forward to this year with both dogs and aim to just have fun again!

I completely forgot about my blog. Well without sounding boring Chox has yet again amazed me he has made grade 6 this year I didn’t want I'm to for it as I would have liked to try for the novice Olympia, he won out at Ely he won on sat and I thought it was just fluke, but he won again on Sunday. I am almost happy with his contacts now, just need to persists with weaves and slightly twistier courses as I have done alot of simple stuff to boost his confidence and he is sensitive enough that I can rely on him to turn, it’s my timing that lets us down, and I have made sure I don’t let him know I have gone wrong as I want him to trust me that when I say go I won’t be pulling him off again.
Juice is just simply the best dog to train as she is so willing, she has started to do straight weaves I worried it was too soon so won’t be doing anymore; I am really pleased with her entries and exits! And I am very happy with her contacts, I started see saw training 2 weeks ago and she is the first dog I know that loves it.
I entered her in an introduction class at fox ag. Unaffiliated show , small jumps, jumps and tunnels she was a little star got 2nd , and was against big dogs doing ickle jumps
Both dogs are going to have 2 months off, I don’t want to over do it with juice and think it’s time for her to have a break , and I always find Chox gains more confidence after a break as he is more desperate to play !

wellingborough was our first grade 4 show sat dint go to brilliantly on my behalf although i was really pleased with chox i was just not with it. Sunday we both had it and i really liked the agility judged by nigel davis. Chox was fab and went into the lead i didnt expext him to stay there although his round felt like one of the best he has done i just expected him t get nocked down. but he didnt : D. he was wiked in the helter skeler and his time wasn't to far of the lead, i am seein progress.
dexter got 2nd in the jumping one one of the best rounds has ever done.
Rugby
Sat,, well little ,man did me proud after splating on the aframe in the graded agility he lost drive and i think scared himself so when i went into the 1-4 i was just goin to run it so he dint have a chance to think to hard. and was pleased that he had picked up from the morning but still dint feel hw he has been. but when i went to see where he was before lunch he was in the lead :D and stayed ther :D .. dexter dint feel great today as he has got older he has got more carful on the wet ground but he sill got 4th.

juice traing is coming on great . im really pleased with her contacts and weeves i am not closing them in anymore until i am happy she wil do any angle and at the moment she is getting everything i am throwing at her. i just love traing her because all she wants to do is please and learn .

Well Dexter is not good at the moment he has been on and off lame for the last few weeks I am waiting for an appointment with the chiropractor so he stayed at home with mum this weekend. We were at Newton Heath sat was not so good I missed walking his agility so the jumps weren’t were I thought!! The novice chum he did beautifully but the tit that I am missed two jumps out .. oops but he was brilliant!! For some reason I just wasn’t on the ball on sat or on Sunday really but I am so pleased with how he is working at the moment. Although he did get 2nd in the grade 3 jumping : ) !!
Juice I haven’t got much to say apart from she is perfect and so much fun! She had a lovely weekend and we spent loads of time together! She also had a play with Natalie’s Ham and he is sooooo cute!!

Another wicked weekend!! Ketch was amazing (I love him so much need to do some persuading) cheese was semi listening we got round 4 out of the six courses without arguing!
My little Chox man just keeps impressing 3rd and 4th he just doesn’t put a foot wrong just need to remember my timing I cant wait till iv fixed his weaves and he weaves as confidently as he can !!
Good old slippers dog (Dexter) was good on sat but has decided to go selectively deaf lol and OMG he broke his wait in his agility so I put him back so I could hold my contacts and he proceeded to leep of his dog walk two this that he has very rarely done (I could count on 1 hand) bad boy hehe

Well no to bad, Ketch was again super! 4th in 6 jumping and a pole in chum ag but he is just so nice to work! Finally managed to get Cheese (auntie’s merlie) round a course without losing his head! He did have a wide turn but still got 10th so was really please!!
Dexter went clear in his jumping and just had a pole in the ag. But I was super pleased with him!
Chox was a little star again!! Just slipped of his see saw in ag and went clear in jumping and had a pole in the other!
i have really enjoyed all the courses today!
Juice has had a lovely day out spending lots of time with her many boyfriends !!

.. Dexter got a three out of three clears including a, god I can’t remember anything else that’s terrible!!

Again Mr. Man got 3/3 clears one being a second behind Helen and Mitch (same as week before) Chox is working so well!! I am so pleased with him, my timing is letting him down :) I am calling him to early .

Dexter yet again got a 2nd and a 4th .. in the 5-7 got a bit carried away with himself on the A frame bless him!! Chox got a 3rd in his grade 3 jumping(very unexpected as he dint feel like he was going) had a pole in the 1-4 and my bad handling sent him over the wrong jump in the agility!! He was going really nicely. Also got a 2nd with Ketch (aunties dog I have nicked and don’t want to give back) in the grade 6 jumping!!

Training!
I have worked really hard on Chox contacts finally feels like it has paid off!! At the end of last year I had lost the position due to early releasing as I thought it would boost his confidence, and it did but then he started to get confused so I decided to work on it over the winter and not to ever release till his front feet were on the floor!! Yay its working

What can I say I LOVE HER !! just starts to work little turns and pull through’s and she’s wicked!! She is really starting to get her contact position so few more weeks and ill let her do a small !! dog walk. She is really beginning to click in her weaves and looking for the entrance

Easter celebration and training

Well Dexter was a lil star he’s decided he we can be consistent at 9 yo. Chox worked really nicely just had few oopses my fault as it always is with him! I also had my aunties dogs as she has had an op on her ankle. I must admit that I wasn’t sure what to expect with her merlie (cheese) as with him its very good or very bad !! but I managed to keep as lid on him :S !! My little super star Ketch was lush as normal and has really boosted my confidence for the EO selection day this weekend! And training to night went really well !!

She is just LOVELY!! Her attitude toward working is amazing she is so toy focused and extremely demanding and I am having soooooooo much fun with her, tonight I just started to work on some turns through boxes then powering on and she was fab !! hmm having her out around the rings at her first proper outdoor show that had a high atmosphere she was good until she sat watching then the singing came and if a dog she knew was running she felt the need to join in lol ! I am constantly working on her tugging and its great at the moment, she loves squeaky toys and will do anything for a toy !! She is just perfect !!

Oh I am bad!! Its been so long but I just feel I have had no time recently!!

Well the little Juice (who keeps growing so may not be little after all lol) is absolutely gorgeous she is so gutsy and has so much drive. I cannot believe how much fun she is!

Well crufts has been and gone again and I am so pleased with the little red boy. I worked really hard the last few months on his position and I feel it has paid off as last year he didn’t like the environment this year he was so much more confident and I think I was more relaxed. He went in and did a brilliant round for me and we were in 2nd I moved down to joint third and had to do a run off . Unfortunately I had no time to warm him up between the stays and run off so felt rushed and it did showed so we got 4th but I was over the moon with it.
Agility wise I had a bit of bad luck/communication break down!

I am still working on getting Chox’s weaves quicker and we are getting there slowly.

I’d like to say a huge well done to everyone that was at Crufts.

NAUGHTY ME !! its been so long ...Well juice is fab!!! She is sooo toy motivated which I am over the moon about, I have tried to make sure that it’s her most favourite thing in the world and it is, so much so that when she has got it she shows the whole world what she has got and does not want to bring it back. (Bad girl). We have just started doing tunnels and through wings to a tunnel and she loves it! She does think it is great fun to bark when I run away from her lol this is all I am going to do with her for another few months. Have done lot of little bits with the clicker and worked on her target and her doing it wherever I am as I taught it in front of me and wanted her really driving to it and understanding the position before I alter where I stand. Have stated working on the heelwork position and she is learning very quickly. I’ve got a real bond with her.

As far as Dexter and Chox go it has been awful Chox got a really swollen foot and was very sore and would not let me look at it, so went to the vet he had antibiotics and painkillers as we thought he had something in there. The day he came off the antibiotics his foot went up again so back on them he went. Once it had gone down and he was not as sore on it I had a poke about and had a squeeze and the infection was starting to come out so he came off the antibiotics. He is now sound on it but I think the nail is going to fall off as it got very very bruised. So I have poulticed it and warm salt water.

Dexter has had me in a right state on Friday he went very funny on the left side of his back end he has been up and down all weekend. A friend that has done a massage and T Touch therapy course is seeing him tonight and I have him booked into the chiropractor. So poor Dexter has not been able to really enjoy the snow :( the others have loved it. Especially juice!

It feels like ages since I have written anything and I feel like I have loads to say! I was on a training day with Amanda Pigg and Toni Dawkins a few weeks ago and WOW did I enjoy it I came away with lots of things to think about and Chox contacts aren’t as solid as I thought but that is due to me releasing him early without realising (bad me !!). The exercise we did with Amanda really showed me how much Chox watches me. I was so pleased with him he was a little star and weaved nicely YAY!! A. Lisa took Senna and he was a very good boy too. Juice came along we got there early so I bought juice out so she could watch and so I could get her playing somewhere new she was a good girl and was bringing it back when I threw it and tugging hard.

Barking Mad.
Chox was fab I was rubbish!! :( I felt like my timing was completely out, however I was really pleased with how he worked. Dexter was very high for some reason only known to him he did a very nice ag run but had a pole and in the jumping he was not listening very well.Juice was aloud out at barking mad and she decided that everybody was her friend and the bigger the dog the better. Have put the vids on youtube

Juice has been so good she is everything I hoped she would be. She very into her toys and very quick to learn i.e she knows who she can take the mick out of lol when my step dad lets her out she runs around for about 20 mins but if I do she comes straight back in .. bad girl so now she is on the flexi lead .

Huge well done to everyone that qualified for Olympia have been watching on tele but was there on Thursday supporting Amy .. unfortunately she had the first pole down in both classes how unlucky!! I was also gutted for Toni and Minx!

Smalls: found myself screaming at the tele when Wendy was running daddy Dexter was watching and cheering on his little scout man.

Big dogs: was gutted Alan didn’t make the final but well done to everyone else who did what an interesting final! i was very happy to see that Lucy Osborne had qualified so was cheering her on! And a big well done to Toni and minx and Dave and Dobby what a stunning round!
Really looking forward to see tonight’s as there are some VERY good dogs so should also make an interesting final .Good luck everyone!

<<<>Oh my god I can’t believe how much juice has grown since she came home. I was looking through and ORGANISING my photos and I never realised how small she really was. She was doing her usual rounds were she sees the cat goes up to him with the wiggliest wiggliest bum, but I'm sure that yesterday she was considerably smaller than him yet today she is nearly the same size as him.

Have done some training with her she now does a beautiful down and sit she waves both paws. I have started doing her targets to piece of carpet as I am considering target training her dw and maybe having a running a frame :S I am not sure yet though. Will have to do some more research as if I do I want to make sure I get it right!

Mmm Chox it feels like we have gone backwards again with his weaves so I will go back to channels over the winter to get his confidence back up again. He so sensitive to me and get really worried if he THIKS he’s got it wrong but I don’t know what has triggered him to be unsure his time. :S

As I have been reading about everyone’s lovely walks I’d like to show you the lovely walk I had today and how it ended
I thought as it hadn’t rained for two days the field I normally walk them in wouldn’t be too bad
HOW WRONG COULD I BE !!
I have to say these pics really don’t show how dirty she was

Mind you kiss is constantly getting dirty she only has to look at a puddle to get dirty whereas the other 2 stay fairly clean.

My little juice is a little star been doing little bits with her she is such a character.. she is so cute . She loves Dexter although I think he is getting tired of her. He did play with her for an hour last night ill try and upload the short vid I got of them.

The dogs were very good at rugby I was rubbish I called Chox off of two jumps in his ag. (bad timing) he was clear in jumping. Dexter was a little bit naughty in his ag and released himself of the dw I didn’t stop him I really should of but I made a point of making him stop on the a-frame and he still didn’t think he should bad dog lolol. In the jumping he just had a poll

I have been very lazy and now it’s biting back as I have loads to write!
Juice is still as lovely and naughty as ever and terrorising Dexter and Chox! Must get some more pics of her !

Last sat. We were at barking mad I was a bit emotional as it was the anniversary of my dad’s death. But Chox cheered me up he was amazing I was so gob smacked. He is doing everything I ask of him. Whereas with Dexter it can be a bit of a fight Chox feels so smooth and tight and generally it’s my timing when it goes wrong as it is so different to Dexter, and Dexter decides if he’s listening and I can tell him as he takes off or if he’s in tank mode and you have to tell him a stride before and it’s very hard to know. It feels like Chox and I are really coming together I have to admit I didn’t think he was going to be very fast but would have the turns on his side but he is proving me wrong in his own time and he is becoming exactly what I wanted . I just love him!

The weekend before that we were training and Chox did the most amazing set of weaves so I did two sets and didn’t do another set.

Wednesday..
I had half the day off so decided to do some training and gave someone who trains with us a lesson(Sam and her working black lab fazer- fazer is half a collie in disguise I sure lol she and Senna have been trained together from a puppy she has such talent! ). I set up a jumping exercises that was big and spread out to get her to trust and working on getting the most out of Fazer. She was sooo good I was buzzing after the lesson. Then Sam got her young working cocker out (Daime) he was a little star and was sending out so well. I was so satisfied and happy
In the evening we had our Christmas do (upanover/cloudtenn) it was really nice to see everyone and talk doggies most of the evening. However I progressively started to feel ill and woke up feeling so rough.. and still do !!

Of to Rugby x-mas show this weekend I am really looking forward to it I love Rugby its such a lovely fun show .. I’m off to have a hot cup of tea!

Chox doesn’t seize to amaze me!!! Today at training we worked on motivating fast dog walk and powering on just re enforcing the basics really with Senna (my aunties young dog) and Chox we had a long distance and a very slight angle between a jump and the weaves the first time he didn’t put the brakes on hard enough the second time WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!! He really really shocked me I was absolutely delighted with him he worked very nicely!

I did some ob training at home on sat morning just reinforcing the position on my leg and really getting him to push on it he was so good he is just trying so hard to please me at the moment !

Little juice is still as cute as ever and being as bold as ever she thinks the cat is her best friend the cat has other ideas when he is sleeping and he gets a puppy licking his face with a waggly uncontrollable bum attached! :D

Little juice had a sleepover as I was babysitting for a friend early in the morning. I thought great somewhere new get her playing and see how she sleeps somewhere new. I am amazed nothing fazes that puppy. She walked straight in proud as punch played tuggie, was bringing back all her toys after I had thrown them. I have been doing her sits, downs, left and rights. She now sits nearly every time I ask her (for a toy yay! Lol) her downs she will do when I show her or in a tuggie game and her left and rights are just games to get the toy. She is so clever.

I did some obedience training at home with Chox last night. I am going to work really hard so that he is really confident and knows exactly what I want of him. I have found that when we get in the ring he gets worried as I am not as confident, and he has never experienced me nervous as when we do agility I am confident :S . So I have told myself I need to do more than train once a week if I want him to be happy and confident for crufts. Last year he started really happy but as the round went on he started coming off my leg and dropping back, I was still delighted with him though as I thought it was a big ask as he had only been to 2 shows. So... I am going to do lots of work on him knowing exactly where the position is.

On Thursday we did some sent with him, he had already started some last year and found it very exciting. Now we are getting him to pick up a cloth and to start thinking about the one that smells of me (at least that what I think the idea is lol). As it’s the first time I’ve done obedience I trust Domini 1000% so whatever she says ill try and if it doesn’t work she always has an alternative :D!

I also so did some free time with Chox, which he loves, using the clicker I have been working on backend awareness and getting him to put his feet up on things he has really got the hang of it now so I am now going to try and target his back feet to something I will try and get a vid.

I can’t believe how much I woffle on!

I can’t believe how much juice has grown. She is so lovely and bold. I have already started changing from food to toys. I have been quiet worried about the *nose to the floor*. I am more than likely going to target my contacts and it will be easier with treats. So my theory is if I make the transaction from food to toy early I hopefully will not have a problem and I am going to do my best to make sure she only gets treat from the hand. I would like her to be toy motivated over treats (fingers crosses). She is really tugging well atm.

CHOX.....I am still not happy with his weaves and I am considering getting the Susan Garret dvd but I will ask around 1st for opinions on that method of training as have not had any experience on it or spoken to people who have trained. But I will carry on with what I am doing as I am getting slow improvements, not as much as would have hoped but every dog progresses differently so until I find that I am not pleases with what I am getting I shall keep with it.

Little juice came up to obedience training last night and she loved it. I want her to go to as many places as possible and get her playing there straight away, which she did. She also found a boyfriend ... Mr Keen Bennett I don’t blame her he’s very handsome boy. They were having a whale of a time I was so pleased as Keen isn’t the smallest of collies. I got her running round the hall with me playing tuggie. I was so pleased with her.
We also got our new car cages fitted today. They look very very nice I am very pleased with them. The doggies like them too .

Today worked on sending him out as I am please with his turns but he is no so confident away from me so I set up a huge long line on a slight curve and a 180 degrees to a dog walk. The curve was so that I could ask him to go out while I raced him to the end of the dog walk he got it 1st time which took me by surprise. He obviously understands a lot more than I give him credit for. He was doing FANTSTIC contacts really shocked me, I am really pleased with his dw as I had problems as a puppy with them he refused to straighten himself up and would just run past.. However his weaves weren’t anywhere near as good as they have been so I'm going to go back to 6 and 8 so that he only goes through fast...
Now onto juice she is so gorgeously naughty I’ve been doing loads of roughing her up. Nothing fazes her : D iv got her tugging really hard (she supposed to be a soft mouthed dog lol)she popped u to the field today and was playing with the dogs that are like 100 times bigger was mooching around and walked over some stinging nettles and was very upset she got all bumpy tummy and saw feet my poor girlie i felt so guilty.

Little juice came home tonight. She is so lovely and bold she came in had a look round picked up all the new toys and killed them :D. She then decided she would go and say hello to the cat. Chox has completely blanked her. Dexter said hello :) and kiss refuses to acknowledge she exists. I will try and post some vids of her tomorrow and let you all know how she slept :)..x

Chox was a little star as usual and got a 3rd in the jumping by 0.6 sec I was so pleased with him. He did 4 lovely runs and weaved in all of them yey! Dexter was a bit high in his agility so I ended up holding his contacts. Unfortunately I missed his jumping oops bad mummy. I started my beginners course on sun I really enjoyed it. Seeing how the dogs had improved really put a smile on my face. Then I did a bit with Chox. We set up a big spread out course and my timing was so out and he was turning perfectly when I told him .. which was in front of the jump. He has decided that he doesn’t like me crossing behind him on a snake line so I worked on that and he was a good boy. Again weaves were good. I he was doing beautiful seesaws i did a lot of work on it a few weeks ago on him powering on even if I cross behind. I am very excited as I’m am bringing juice home this week: D woo!!

(<3 bex)....This was a post that I had written last week but forgot to post: Dexter was Mr reliable :D he got 3 out of 3 clears and we got best placed junior in all three. What a clever boy.. Chox was a very good boy . As I am in the process of retraining his weaves as he was lacking confidence I wasn’t expecting anything and had planned to hold my contacts as I have worked hard on him understanding his position on them as well as maintaining speed. In his agility (was a lovely course by Lorna G) I was really pleased with him even though he missed his weave entry he weaved fast (ish) and confidently. His a frame was spot on. In his jumping another nice course he did the best run he has done all year and go a 9th there wasn't only about 1sec splitting the top 10 I was really pleases as the dogs above him were very good dogs and he was near to their time. He also got best junior in this class. MY little *

Today has been a very sad day as my aunty has lost her special little bex.
He was so amzing! He has given me the best dog Icould have hoped for and has done the same for many others. He acheived so much and was so special because of everything he was!

My little puppy was born on the 27th September in a litter of 7. 5 boys and 2 girls. They are all extremly beautiful.
Although it is 2 years two soon to be getting a puppy I will not have time for a puppy in two years and Twix may not be having a litter.

Juice:

she is the naughtyiest and is beeting her brothers up .. awwwwww
